Why HTEP
Pharmacies and clinics still re-type paper prescriptions by hand, which is slow and error-prone. HTEP reads a photo or scan of a prescription and fills in the medicines, doses, frequencies and durations, plus patient and doctor details, so staff only have to check them.
Every value says where it came from. Text read by OCR is taken straight from the page. When OCR struggles, for example with handwriting, an AI vision model reads the image too, and anything it reports that cannot be found in the scanned text is marked Check instead of being trusted.
How It Works
From a paper prescription to a checked digital record in three steps.
Upload
Upload a photo or scan of the prescription (PDF, PNG or JPEG).
Read
OCR reads the page and pulls out each field. An AI vision model helps when the OCR is unsure.
Review
Review the record against the original (highlighted fields need a closer look), then export to CSV or JSON, or print.
Coming next
Lab reports: test names, values, units and reference ranges, with out-of-range results flagged. Personal health records: a patient's prescriptions and reports over time, with a medicine schedule and lab-value trends.
Uploaded files are deleted as soon as they are processed. HTEP helps with data entry; it does not give medical advice, and a person should always check the record against the original.
